Nicola has 28 years of Event Planning, Sales & Marketing, Public Relations, Hotel & Restaurant management experience and has organised events all over the world from World Championships to private dinner parties.
After several years of Hotel and Restaurant management experience in Europe and South Africa, Nicola was head hunted to join a Sports Marketing and Sponsorship Company who were keen to use her organisational skills and catering knowledge to ensure the smooth running of various corporate and sporting events. It became clear very early on that Nicola had a passion for event planning and this was the road she wanted to follow. Shortly after this, Nicola set up her own Event Planning Company. The first event Nicola organised grew from 200 people in 1995 to over 2000 people in 2004, such was its popularity.
Nicola’s culinary skills were developed and inspired by the catering experience in France. As a revitalising change from event planning, Nicola accepted a contract to create menu’s and cook for an exclusive ski resort chalet in the French Alps. Nicola’s guests’ appreciation and enthusiasm of the meals, encouraged her to explore her creativity with very successful and exciting results.
Having reached the top of her field of expertise in South Africa, Nicola felt it was time for a change and decided to move to Canada. With this wonderful combination of event planning, catering and management experience it seemed a natural progression to continue her entrepreneurship and set up an event planning business here. As of 2014 Nicola is expanding her business internationally to include events and tours in South Africa and Europe.
